The Benefits of Mango

1.  Prevents Cancer:
Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes.

芒果的功效与作用
  我国的传统观中医有关芒果的记载表明:芒果,性凉,味甘酸;入肺、脾、胃经;可益胃止呕,解渴利尿。主治口渴咽干,食欲不振,消化不良,晕眩呕吐,咽痛音哑,咳嗽痰多,气喘等病症。芒果的主要营养成分:每10O克含水分85.2克,蛋白质O.6克,脂肪0.3克,碳水化合物13.1克,热量58千卡,粗纤维0.4克,灰分0.4克,钙11毫克,磷14毫克,铁0.8毫克,胡萝卜素5.7毫克,硫胺素0.02毫克,核黄素0.05毫克,尼克酸1.6毫克,维生素C76.8毫克,并含钾304毫克。
  再有就是,芒果具有很高的药用价值,特别是对于那些胃部不舒适、经常有口渴、呕吐、晕船等这些症状的朋友多吃芒果具有一定的帮助作用。对于慢性咽喉炎和嗓子哑的患者,您不妨试着用芒果煎水,代茶饮用,这样可以起到消炎的作用,而且还可以使嗓音圆润。
  不过在这里要提醒大家注意的就是,由于芒果的性质带湿毒,所以患有皮肤病和肿瘤的朋友,一定要注意避免多吃芒果。吃芒果过敏的人很多,极少数人吃了芒果会全身起红斑,出现呕吐、腹泻等现象。这样的患者有可能是过敏体质,就不宜再吃芒果了。而大多数患者的芒果过敏是可以避免的。
  吃芒果时,多数人习惯于剥开皮,直接咬着吃,这样很容易将果汁沾到口边或脸部的皮肤上。而有些人脸上沾了果汁也不以为然,果汁长时间残留在皮肤上就会对皮肤产生刺激性作用,引起了过敏反应。所以,吃芒果时,最好将果肉切成小块,直接送入口中。吃完芒果后,应漱口、洗脸,以避免果汁残留。
  气虚、脾虚的人在选择芒果这种冷性的水果时要特别谨慎,最好不要吃。气虚,一般是指中气不足,力气弱的人或孩童,这些人一般脸色比较苍白、体格瘦小、吃不下饭;而脾虚,是说消化系统比较差,肠蠕动慢。所以,越吃寒冷的水果,越会降低肠胃蠕动,使肌肉无力,吃多了会因为消化不良而导致腹胀。
